Technology Enhanced Learning

Technology can assist and enhance teaching and learning in all educational levels, while helping to prioritize student-centered teaching models. Aiming to support the inclusive teaching modules developed in TOOLS project, one main outcome is the development of a learning environment to host these courses. With the TOOLS online platform, inclusiveness and accessibility are favoured, individualised education is possible, and innovative ICT methods can be integrated.

TOOLS E-learning platform

The University of Cyprus (UCY) team, is responsible for designing and developing the TOOLS platform. The aim is to implement an interactive e-learning platform for hosting modules and courses, providing access to the material and offering tools for inclusive learning for EFL.
The overall expected outcomes of this project result include promoting ICT as an instrument to favor inclusion, setting up a place to share ideas on inclusion in the EFL classroom, and enhancing the quality of teacher training in social, digital and cultural inclusion.
During the project duration, through this environment, a blended-learning course on inclusive teaching for pre-service and in-service EFL teachers is hosted.

The responsible team (UCY), in collaboration with the rest of the consortium partners, followed a software engineering methodology in order to design and develop the platform.

At the moment, the platform is developed and under pilot testing.
